Mike brings nearly 20 years of investment experience to the team, including time as an investment analyst and portfolio manager.  His passions include investing, finance, economics, and history.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Space Operations from the US Air Force Academy as well as an MBA from the University of Phoenix. He has also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation.

After a rewarding career as an Air Force pilot, Mike joined J.V. Bruni & Company as an Equity Analyst. He went on to establish his own firm, Athena Capital, serving as President and Portfolio Manager for 15 years.

Mike lives with his wife, Jennifer, and his teenage daughter, Vivian in a suburb of San Jose, Costa Rica. Mike is a member of the CFA Society Colorado, and loves to read, travel, and exercise.
